What's here

Two printable template generators (a comic strip layout and a comic book page layout, both with PDF export), a speech bubble maker that gives you transparent PNG bubbles and a printable sheet of blank ones, a bubble overlay you can drop onto any photo or drawing, and a comic title generator that writes options from a one-line idea.

All five are free, work without signing in, and do their work on your device: template exports and bubble images are never uploaded anywhere.

When to let AI draw it instead

These tools are for people drawing by hand or lettering their own photos. If you would rather skip the blank page entirely, koma.ink turns a one-line idea into a full comic: it writes the script, draws every panel, and letters the speech bubbles for you.

FAQ

Are these tools really free?

Yes, all five are free to use with no account and no limit on how many templates or bubble images you export.

Do I need to sign up?

No. Every tool on this page works without an account. You only need to sign in if you want koma.ink to draw a comic for you.

Can I use the templates for a classroom?

Yes. The comic strip and comic book templates both have a "Name / Date / Title" option built for handouts, and you can print as many copies as you need.

What file formats can I download?

The templates export as PDF (A4 or Letter, ready to print), PNG (about 300 DPI, good for drawing over digitally) or SVG (good for editing the layout itself). The speech bubble maker exports a transparent PNG, or a printable sheet of blank bubbles as PDF or PNG. The bubble overlay exports a PNG at your image's original resolution.

Is my photo or drawing uploaded anywhere?

No. The bubble maker reads your image file locally in the browser and never sends it to a server.

Can AI draw the comic for me instead?

Yes. Type an idea below and koma.ink will write the script and draw every panel automatically.
